Description

This small member of the Peperomia family of plants is appreciated for its rounded, fleshy leaves marked with silver and dark green stripes that resemble the rind (skin) of a watermelon, hence it’s common name. Its silver sections will quite literally sparkle when placed in the right light and although it’s difficult to capture that on camera, we did our best so scroll through the photos to to see if you can spot the light refracting off of the leaves. This plant thrives in bright to medium light and prefers high humidity. It has the added benefit of being friendly to all your four legged friends too.
