Maranta leuconeura ‘Kerchoveana’

$13.99
4" Nursery Pot

Maranta leuconeura ‘Kerchoveana’ boasts light green leaves that are somewhat rounded with dark splotches on either side. When new leaves emerge, these splotches appear dark brown. When the leaves mature, the dark brown color turns a gorgeous deep green. One unusual aspect of the leaf construction of ‘Kerchoveana’ is that these two colors are not visible from the back, not even the vein arrangement. The color of the back of each leaf is a silvery green, which makes the two sides of the leaf look completely different. This plant requires warmth and humidity to thrive and prevent browning tips. It has an upright and bushy growth pattern. We find best growth in bright indirect to medium light, yet the more light it receives the more often you'll likely have to water. Finally, this plant has the added benefit of being pet friendly.
