Ed’s Plant Shop has changed a lot since we first began serving plant lovers in Brooklyn. The biggest change is also the simplest to explain: Ed’s Plant Shop is now an online-only plant shop.
Our former Brooklyn studio closed on December 31, 2025. Today, customers shop Ed’s online for houseplants, planters, plant-care products, eligible NYC local delivery, and nationwide U.S. shipping. At the same time, our partnership with Flower Daddy in Williamsburg gives local shoppers a separate way to discover a small, rotating selection of Ed’s plants in person.
Why Ed’s Plant Shop Moved Online
Running a public retail space while also caring for live inventory, preparing online orders, coordinating delivery, and shipping plants nationwide created a lot of competing demands. Moving fully online lets us focus our limited time and space on the parts of the business that matter most: plant care, inventory, fulfillment, and helping customers shop from wherever they are.
That does not mean every order leaves immediately. Live plants still require inspection, preparation, and safe handling, and weather or inventory conditions can affect timing. Our goal is to provide clear expectations rather than promise an exact shipment or delivery date that we cannot reliably guarantee.
What Shopping With Ed’s Looks Like Now

The widest selection of Ed’s plants and plant-care products is available through edsplantshop.com. Inventory changes throughout the year, so the online catalog is the best place to see what is currently available.
NYC Local Delivery
Eligible New York City customers may see Local Delivery at checkout. Availability depends on the address, products, inventory readiness, courier capacity, and current operating conditions. Local delivery is a fulfillment method—not a guarantee of same-day or next-day service.

Nationwide Plant Shipping
Eligible plants and products can also be shipped across the United States. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time, and live-plant shipments may occasionally be held during unsafe weather conditions. Browse our nationwide plant delivery collection for current shippable options.
Ed’s Plant Shop at Flower Daddy in Williamsburg

Flower Daddy is a separate licensed adult-use cannabis dispensary. Its in-store plant selection changes and does not mirror the full Ed’s online catalog. Cannabis sales are handled only by Flower Daddy for eligible adults 21+, while Ed’s Plant Shop sells plants and plant-related products only.
Flower Daddy is not an Ed’s Plant Shop pickup location. Online Ed’s orders cannot be released, picked up, returned, exchanged, refunded, or serviced there.

What Has Not Changed
We are still a small plant business built around helping people bring more plants into their homes and workspaces. We still care about selecting interesting plants, packing live orders carefully, and giving customers realistic guidance about what will work in their space.
What has changed is the way customers access Ed’s: the business is now centered online, with local delivery when eligible, nationwide shipping for eligible products, and a separate in-person retail partnership at Flower Daddy.
A More Sustainable Foundation for the Next Chapter
This shift gives Ed’s a clearer foundation for the future. It allows us to improve the online catalog, strengthen local delivery and shipping operations, build better plant-care resources, and continue collaborating with neighborhood partners without pretending we still operate a traditional storefront.
