Houseplants for Brooklyn Apartments & Homes
1. Pothos
Pothos can trail from shelves or climb a support, making good use of vertical space. Variegated forms generally show their strongest pattern with brighter indirect light.
2. Snake Plants
Snake Plants use floor space efficiently and tolerate lower light better than many tropical plants, while still benefiting from usable light and proper dry-down.
3. ZZ Plant
ZZ Plants grow gradually and store water in thick rhizomes, making them useful where you want an upright plant without frequent watering.
4. Monstera
Monstera can become substantial climbing plants, so give them room and consider a plant support as they mature.
5. Floor Plants
For larger rooms, lofts or offices, browse Floor Plants. Measure doors, elevators, stairwells and the final placement area before ordering a large plant.
Choose by Your Brooklyn Space
- Dim apartment: Start with Low-Light Indoor Plants; low light is not no light.
- Limited floor space: Use Hanging & Trailing Plants.
- Not enough natural light: Consider Grow Lights.
- Homes with pets: Start with Pet-Friendly Indoor Plants and verify the exact botanical variety.
