Description

The Pellionia Pulchra 'Polynesian Ivy' plant was first cultivated in the twentieth century and named ‘pulchra’ after a French naval officer, A.M.J. Alphonse Pellio, a member of the French voyage of discovery. This plant has pointed gray-green leaves, with outside bands of a purplish brown. It has also has smaller rounded leaves with a network of dark veins on green. On the undersides, leaves are silvery, with purple veins. While this is a considered a low, bushy plant, when placed in a hanging baskets, it produces long vines that can be easily propagated.
